Here’s the attendee information for the Feb 27-28 Permian Basin Qualifier in Midland.
Due to abuses of the requested spectator attendance and to help restrict the spread of disease by hand to hand transfer, we have taken the following measures in regards to controlling attendance.
WRISTBANDS ($15 EACH) WILL BE PRE-SOLD. GOOD FOR BOTH DAYS. ONE PURCHASE PER TEAM NAME ONLY & IN ANY NUMBER FROM 8 UP TO 15 to fit your number of spectators. So to be clear-you may purchase up to 15 if you have that many spectators for your team or down to 8. They may be purchased on our website under the Merchandise Tab on our Tournament and Clinic Registration page. Or at the following link:
INDIVIDUAL WRISTBANDS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR $20 EACH ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY AT THE CHAMPIONSHIP DESK AND ONLY TO FILL THE TEAM QUOTA MAXIMUM OF 15.
Leave the playing area when your team is not competing or officiating. RESPECT your other spectators and let them watch their kids without crowding.
PAVILION-Courts 1-10: We will not have spectator seating in the Pavilion-courts 1-10. You may bring your portable chairs but do not leave them unattended or set up camp.
ARENA-Courts 11-16- There are stands available and you may also bring your own chairs. DO NOT MOVE CHAIRS THAT HAVE BEEN PLACED FOR THE TEAMS OR ARE USED AT THE END OF COURTS TO HELP STOP BALLS.
Because we cannot ensure proper social distancing between individuals, everyone must wear a mask when entering & while inside either venue. We will follow the Governor’s GA-29 mask order regarding exemptions for children and medical disability. Taking the vaccine is not an exemption.
NO COOLERS ALLOWED INSIDE THE VENUES! Single personal labeled water bottles only
Please restrict spectators to only one per player. We will not be policing this requirement except by wristband purchase. If there are complications we will restrict attendance to make sure we can continue to offer this valuable athletic and social outlet for the kids. We want as many folks as possible to enjoy their time in the gym. So please wear your masks, wash your hands often and maintain social distance.
Please exit the facility when your team is not playing. Allow other spectators to watch their team. No nesting or camping.
No team camps in the foyer, hallways or restricted areas.
Saturday morning pools start at 8am. Afternoon pools start at 2:30. SUNDAY BRACKET MATCHES START AT 8am!! PLEASE CHECK FOR OFFICIATING ASSIGNMENTS THAT YOUR TEAM MAY BE REQUIRED TO OFFICIATE BEFORE YOU PLAY. Parents please help your coach by checking the pools & brackets on the website-especially for a possible tiebreaker or an officiating match on Sunday before you start play.
To fit all possible teams there will be division and bracket overlaps. There will be more time between your matches on Sunday so please understand why.
This tournament and how everyone acts and behaves will go a long way in what the BoD decides on future tournaments.
Thanks and good luck, Sun Country
