SURVA Rule Modification allowing incomplete team
The Tournament Handbook has been updated with many changes voted on by the Board of Directors. All changes are highlighted in the Handbook and on the New Information button the right side of the website. Please make a copy and read carefully about:
- New Tournament Entry & Withdrawal Requirements.
- Purple cards for Spectator Conduct. Fan behavior may now cost the team points.
- Club selection date has been changed to Sept 1.
- The net height for Division VI has been changed to 6’8″ if possible.
There are 8 SURVA Regional Qualifying Tournaments, known as Preliminaries, open to ALL teams. Any team wishing to compete in the Region Championships and/or the SURVA Bid Tournament must compete in a minimum of two Preliminaries with at least one being “out of area”.
The SURVA Region Championships are now a true age group championships & the winners in each age group will be crowned Region Champions.
The SURVA National Bid Tournament, for teams playing for a bid to USAV Girls Nationals, is held separate from the Region Championships and are not championships.
