USA Volleyball and Sun Country have started a new and exciting project called Safe Sport. It’s easy and it’s free. This program is a great compliment to the background screening we use to protect both minors and adults participating in junior programming. It enables all of us to be proactive in the fight to stop child molestation and offers many ways for parents and adults to ensure there are procedures in place to protect ALL participants.

All adults associated with junior clubs, teams or players are required to take Safe Sport training. If you have children in your household, whether players or not, it's a good idea to have them watch it with you.

SURVA has made some changes to reporting possible non sexual misconduct incidents. We now have two trained investigators who will interview all witnesses and gather facts. These investigators will not make or issue a decision. They will submit a report to the Commissioner who will forward the matter to the appropriate committee. The Commissioner, as required in the Region Handbook, may or may not issue a temporary sanction until final resolution of the matter. Any disciplinary action is subject to Due Process.
