Youth Team 2008
Regarding
Youth Team High Performance “birth year of 1992 and 1993.”
I have received
several inquiries for those born in the years of 1992 and 1993 wanting to
participate in
the Sun Country Region High Performance Youth team. If you are
interested or know of someone
that has shown interest in this age division please contact me. If I receive
enough interest over the next several weeks,
April 4th
to April 25th, I will arrange a tryout in Albuquerque for the Youth
age division.
In order to
have a team at the High Performance Championships we must field a team of 12
players. The
Competition is
very good and the tournament is quite challenging. The matches are the best of
3 of 5 sets.
Fatigue and
endurance factors take a toll on the athletes. I want to ensure those that
participate with this team
know the
challenges and cost factors up front. Estimated cost is $785, plus travel
expense. Travel will be less expensive
this year due
to the fact that the athletes will take vans from Las Cruces to Tucson,
Arizona.
